COVID19 has no in doubt had a huge impact on the whole world population in one way or another. In aesthetic medicine and surgery there has been a significant effect. Firstly most aesthetic procedures whether surgical or non-surgical were suspended for a few months. This means that many patients who would be having treatments had their procedures cancelled and postponed. For those having repeat treatments, there has been a cosmetic regression as the effects of the fillers and botox treatments worn off.
Many also were forced to use video conferencing facilities such as ZOOM and Microsoft Teams. This has made many face themselves on a daily basis on the videos.
