What is PRP & PRF
PRP stands for Platelet-Rich Plasma, and PRF for Platelet-Rich Fibrin, are natural treatment that uses your own blood to stimulate healing, collagen production, and tissue regeneration. It’s commonly used in skin rejuvenation, hair restoration, and even joint and soft tissue healing.
How it Works:
A small amount of your blood is drawn and spun in a centrifuge to separate the platelet-rich plasma. This plasma—rich in growth factors—is then injected into the target area (such as the scalp or face) to accelerate natural healing and cell renewal.
What PRP Helps With:
Hair loss (especially androgenetic alopecia or thinning hair)
Skin rejuvenation (fine lines, texture, acne scars, dull skin)
Dark under-eye circles
Wrinkles and skin laxity
Tissue repair (in joints or post-surgical recovery)
Benefits:
100% natural (no synthetic substances)
Minimally invasive with little downtime
Stimulates your body’s own healing
Safe and effective when performed by a qualified expert
Seeking Natural Skin Rejuvenation
Fine lines, wrinkles, dull or tired-looking skin. Acne scars, sun damage, uneven tone or texture. Dark under-eye circles or crepey skin under the eyes.
Early Hair Thinning or Hair Loss
Especially those with androgenetic alopecia (male or female pattern hair loss). Better results are seen in early stages of hair thinning. PRP/PRF helps strengthen follicles and promote new growth.
Wanting to Avoid Synthetic Fillers
PRP/PRF is completely natural—using your own blood components. Suitable for people who prefer organic, regenerative treatments.

What are the
Benefits of PRP & PRF
Natural Rejuvenation
PRP and PRF use your own blood, eliminating the need for synthetic products. This reduces the risk of allergic reactions while naturally stimulating collagen, tissue repair, and regeneration.
Effective for Hair and Skin
These treatments boost hair density, reduce thinning, and improve scalp health. For skin, they enhance texture, soften fine lines, and brighten dull, tired complexions over time.
Minimally Invasive
PRP and PRF involve quick injections with minimal discomfort. Most patients return to normal activities the same day, making it a safe, low-risk option with long-lasting results.

Preparation
Before your PRP or PRF session, stay well-hydrated and eat a light meal. Avoid alcohol and caffeine for 24 hours, and inform your doctor of any medications or supplements you’re taking. Arrive with a clean, makeup-free face or scalp.
What to Avoid
Avoid anti-inflammatory medications like ibuprofen or aspirin for a few days before and after treatment, as they may interfere with the healing process. Refrain from smoking, heavy exercise, or using harsh skincare products the day of your treatment.
Post-Treatment
Post-treatment, expect mild redness or swelling at the injection sites. Avoid touching, washing, or applying products to the treated area for 6–12 hours. Stay out of direct sunlight, saunas, and intense workouts for at least 24–48 hours. Follow all personalised care instructions from Dr Soueid.
What to expect
During Your PRP or PRF Procedure
The entire treatment typically takes about 30 to 60 minutes and involves the following steps:
Blood Draw
A small amount of your blood (usually 10–20 ml) is drawn from your arm—similar to a routine blood test.Centrifugation
Your blood is placed in a centrifuge machine, which spins it at high speed to separate the platelet-rich plasma (PRP) or fibrin (PRF) from the other blood components.Preparation of the PRP/PRF
The concentrated platelets and growth factors are carefully extracted. For PRF, this is done at a lower speed and without anticoagulants, creating a more fibrin-rich, gel-like consistency.Injection or Microneedling
The PRP or PRF is then injected directly into the targeted areas (e.g., scalp for hair loss, under eyes for dark circles, face for rejuvenation), or applied topically after microneedling to enhance absorption.Mild Discomfort, Minimal Downtime
You may feel minor stinging or pressure during the injections, but discomfort is minimal. Most patients resume daily activities the same day with only mild redness or swelling.
What is the Difference Between
PRP or PRF
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) and PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) are both regenerative treatments that use your own blood to stimulate healing, but they differ in preparation, potency, and release of growth factors.

FAQ
What is the difference between PRP and PRF?
PRP is a platelet-rich plasma spun with an anticoagulant, while PRF is spun at a lower speed without additives and releases growth factors more slowly for longer-lasting results.
How long does it take to see results?
Skin results appear within a few weeks and continue to improve for up to 3 months. Hair regrowth typically starts after 2–3 months of consistent treatment.
Can I combine PRP or PRF with other treatments?
Yes, PRP/PRF can enhance the effects of microneedling, laser treatments, or fillers. Your doctor will recommend the safest and most effective combinations for your goals.
Is there any downtime after the procedure?
Downtime is minimal. You may have slight redness or swelling for 24–48 hours. Most people return to normal activities the same or next day.
Who is not suitable for PRP or PRF?
Not suitable for patients with blood disorders, active infections, autoimmune diseases, or those on blood-thinners. A full consultation is essential to assess candidacy.
Is PRP or PRF better for hair loss?
Both are effective, but PRF may offer deeper, longer-lasting stimulation for hair follicles due to its higher concentration of healing cells and sustained growth factor release.
How many sessions will I need?
Most patients need 3–4 initial sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart, followed by maintenance every 6–12 months, depending on the condition and area being treated.
Does the procedure hurt?
Discomfort is minimal. A topical numbing cream or local anaesthetic is usually applied. Most patients report only mild pressure or stinging during injections.
What areas can be treated with PRP or PRF?
Common areas include the scalp for hair loss, face for rejuvenation, under-eyes for hollows or dark circles, and joints or scars for tissue healing.
Are there any risks or side effects?
Since PRP/PRF uses your own blood, risks are minimal. You may experience mild redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection sites for a few days.
